On Wednesday I attended the H&M press day that for the first time wasn't held in their showroom, but instead in a showspace on Flitcroft street.
The space itself was very airy and reminiscent of a stable. Well if you take away all the beautiful white flowers!
Looking at the collection this close, made me think of Hungary and the Hussars. Just look at all the details close enough and you will see what I am talking about. I'm talking about that hat, the hat that isn't only a drivers' hat. That hat has a sewn on rope on the front with buttons at each end. Look at those embroidered trousers too. And the jacket with the shoulder detail. Look at the widening of the arms of the tops and the sturdiness of those riding boots and tell me it doesn't remind you of the Hussars of the 19th century :)
