I spent a few days in Perpignan a small city in the south of France where my sister lives. I only visited her 2 times before this but she has been living there for I think almost 10 years. Every time I go I realize it's such a nice place and that I should come more often.

My sister lives just in the centre of the old town, right above the food markets and lots of other cute little shops.
There is one tiny airport in Perpignan and you can fly in from London and Paris, but if I fly from Budapest I fly to Barcelona and take the TGV (train) from Barcelona Sants which drops you here. It is a nice train ride with the sea and palm trees on your right and the snowy mountains of the Pyrenee on your left.
Because Perpignan is not actually by the sea, we took a bus and went down to Collioure. We only a spent a few hours there but it was a perfect day out. If you have/rented a car you can visit more cities and towns around the area.
